Tubigon Loomweavers bags prestigeous awards

Tubigon – A Tubigon-based local cooperative from the said municipality has not just grown to what is now a million peso organization but a multi-awarded one.

The  Tubigon Loomweavers Multi-Purpose Cooperative (TLMPC) has bagged two prestigious awards from different award-giving bodies. They are the SME Star Elite Regional award given by the Department of Trade and Industry to those small and medium enterprises have shown remarkable achievements in growing their businesses into globally competitive enterprises. The Star Elite Awards is given to  enterprises  at the domestic market penetration and export awareness stage are eligible for nomination to the SME Star Elite Award, which is conferred at the regional level. Katrina Sumayang, the cooperative’s marketing manager received the award on July 22, 2011 at the Metro Center Hotel Tagbilaran City.

On the other hand, TLMPC has just participated the recently-concluded Sandugo Trade Expo on July 22-24 at the Block, Island City Mall where they bagged the Best Dressed Booth Award because of their extensive  and colourful display of products. They also brought an actual handloom where customers could try with their hand the act of weaving.
