TUBIGON RECEIVES WATER PURIFIER DONATION FROM EGF

By: Elaine Mae Ladeza   TUBIGON-One unit of portable water treatment was handed over to this municipality on the 21st day of June, 2014 from the Exempli Gratia Foundation, Inc. The official turn-over was held at the Tubigon Community Hospital (TCH). This portable water treatment (Trifinity Model RV600UF) will be given to the chosen barangay, which is the Batasan Is. This facility will be able to serve 256 households with its output capacity of 600 liters/hour and is a gift from their sponsors in Tsokuba, Japan. The local government of Tubigon, headed by the Hon. Amila, gratefully accepted this gift assuring that this will be given to those who are really in need of such. Alongside with the mayor and are present during the turn-over are the VM Engr. Virgilio Fortich, Planning Officer Engr. Noel Mendana, DRRM Officer Engr. Carlito Remigoso, Mun. Engineer Engr. Elmer Tan, Waterworks Supt. Engr. Ronaldo Arcayos and TCH Administrator Victoria Heyrana. The partner NGO was represented by their Founding Chairman Ronald Rodriguez, EGF Pres. Janet Garcia and the manufacturer of the product in the person of Engr. Ruben M. Villostas. The Exempli Gratia Foundation, Inc., literally means “for the sake of example”, focuses on health, education, livelihood and preparedness (HELP). This is a movement composed of ordinary individuals (young professionals, entrepreneurs and students) who have the same commitment-providing aid to areas where help is really needed. Tubigon senior citizens center up

Matig-a TUBIGON – The senior citizens in Tubigon, more particularly the duly-registered members of the Tubigon FSCAP who are under the office of the OSCA, a unit in the office of the mayor, has much to be glad about upon reading this good news. Mayor Marlon R. Amila has already given the go-signal to construct the much-awaited Senior Citizens Center building which will soon rise in the government center at Potohan beside the TESDA building. Mayor Amila has granted the senior citizens a spacious municipal lot in Potohan to be the site of the project. At press time, the site is being cleared of all informal settlers or squatters. Some trees are being felled to prepare for the lay-out plan to be installed. Earthworks are also being done to level the site. The extent of clearing that the municipality must do to prepare the site will cover some 224 square meters, more or less. The building will cover a floor area of approximately 77 square meters, more or less. A 3 x 3 square meter cubicle is provided inside the building to serve as the OSCA office. Two rest rooms are provided inside the building The office of the municipal engineer has already prepared the perspective and sketch plan and specifications of the building. A spacious assembly area and function room sprawls across the remaining floor area.
