PhilHealth MOVES to Tubigon

The Philippine Health Insurance Company (PhilHealth) launches PhilHealth MOVES in Tubigon town, together with the distribution of Identification cards to sponsored program members, last November 16.
“Mobile Orientation, Validation and Enrollment Scheme or MOVES aims to inform, guide and empowers Philhealth members, particularly the Sponsored Program members identified through National Household Targeting System of the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD),” according to PIA.
About 1,525 Sponsored Program Members of PhilHealth gathered in the Tubigon Cultural and Sports Center to receive their IDs, while Mr. Rhenub Cabiera of PhilHealth Talibon introduced the program to the public.
Hon. Ernesto Mascariñas, SB Committee Chairperson on Health, spoke in behalf of incumbent mayor Engr. William Jao, saying, health is the top priority of the administration. “It is by far one of the most important aspects in the community in which we should focus on, and this project is a great help to our constituents,” Mascariñas said.
Cabiera, on the other hand, turned over a cash check of more or leass P300, 000.00 to the LGU as a preliminary fund for the Sponsored Program Members to utilize.
While Emmylou Evardo of PhilHealth Talibon, discussed the process of how to avail benefits of the insurance company as well as the frequently asked questions. Evardo furthermore conferred to the public the “good news” regarding the “no balance billing” as one of the incentives the members would enjoy with the program.
“A healthy body builds a healthy community,” Mascariñas furthermore stated, as he reiterated the advocacy of the LGU in terms of health and Nutrition. “…as a matter of fact, the LGU have sponsored more than 900 poorest among the poor to avail the PhilHealth insurance,” Mascariñas added.
Twice a month, PhilHealth Talibon visits Tubigon to cater to the needs of the public in updating their Member Data Record (MDR).
Just recently, the Municipality received their 2nd CROWN Maintenance Award from the National Nutrition Council, with the town now preparing to vie for the 3rd one.
