Award committee inspects Tubigon for Nat’l Child Friendly tilt


The National Evaluating Team (in blue shirts) together with the members of the Municipal Council for the Protection of Children and the members of the town's model baranggay, Matabao.


Tubigon-  The team from the National Award Commitee comes to Tubigon for the site validation as the said municipality competes for a most coveted search of the Presidential Award for Child-Friendly Municipalities and Cities.

The town was declared as the regional winner making them the representative from Region 7 along with other 5 contenders from other municipalities in Luzon , namely: San Mateo, Isabela(Region 2); Jordan, Guimaras(Region 6); Agoo, La Union(Region 1); and Mariveles, Bataan(Region 3).

Tubigon LGU and DepED partners for good education


Mayor William Jao delivers his State of the Municipality's Education Address to a crowd of school administrators, school boards and other stakeholders.


The Department of Education (DepEd) and the Local Government Unit (LGU) of Tubigon hold its 1st Education Forum at the JJ’s Foodstream & Restaurant on September 10, 2011 with a primary objective of discussing the academic performance as well as the present situation of the public education of the municipality.

It was in 2008 that Tubigon was divided into two districts, the West which is composed of all schools in the lowland baranggays and the East which comprises all the schools in the islands and mountainous areas.
